What are the purposes of human beings as shown in Genesis?
- To care for the planet - “Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky”
- To procreate - “Be fruitful and increase in number”
- To worship and love God - “Love the Lord God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” (Matthew)
What do different Christians believe about the Bible?
Fundamentalist/Creationist
- 100% true - Bible contains literal/historical truth
- Diract word of God
Liberal
- Bible contains spiritual truth - a myth
- Inspired word of God (written by humans)
Conservative
- Some parts are true some are myth
- disagree with creationists about creation story agree with liberals about accepting scientific truth
What do Christians believe about original sin?
Catholics - Believe everyone is born with original sin
Protestants - Believe original sin was forgiven when Jesus died
Does it matter if the Fall is true?
Yes because one of the consequences was original sin so if it’s not true then what would the point of Jesus had been
Where do Christians believe evil comes from?

What are the 4 most important parts of Jesus and his life and why?
- Ascension - Given the Great commission / Gives hope in afterlife / Promise of the Holy Spirit
- Resurrection - Proves Jesus is son of God
- Crucifixion - Atonement for sin / show God’s love and justice / Jesus understands human suffering
- Incarnation - God’s love and presence in the world
What does Jesus say at his Ascension?
Great commission - “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28)
