A

It means in the image of God

A

They are beloved to be outward visible signs of Gods love for man kind.

What two sacraments do Catholics and protestants both have?

A

Baptism and Eucharist.

Why? They are the only two found in the new testement.

What is the kingdom of God?

A

It is the rule of God on earth. Wherever people believe in God, accept his purpose and do his will.

A

John 2:1-11~at a wedding he turned 30 gallons of water into wine.
Matthew 14:22-33~walked on water.
Matthew 14:13-21~he healed the sick and fed 5000 from 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish.
John 11:38-44~raised Lazarus from the dead.

Give an example.

A

A parable is a short simple story with important meanings.

The Good Samaritan. (Luke 10:25-37)

What are the four most important books of the bible?

What do they contain?

A

The Gospels; Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

They contain the resurrection, death and suffering of Jesus. They also contain his teachings.

  • He was perfect-sinless
  • He was tempted by Satan but resisted
  • He was obedient to his father
  • He is the saviour
  • He models how mankind should live.

A

God is present throughout the universe.

The nature of God.

  • The Trinity- Father,Son and Holy Spirit.
  • Qualities; ability to love, understand, reason and think.
  • Immanence of God-possible for everyone to have a relationship with God.
  • Transcendent-beyond human understanding.

A

Dominion is power over everything.

In Genesis 1:26-29 it states God gave humans power over everything.

What does the passion of Jesus refer too?

A

It refers to the terrible suffering Jesus endured during his final days of his life on earth.

He suffered for our sins.

A

It allowed a relationship with God to be re-built.

It signifies human kinds second chance at living a sin free life.

A

It was proof Jesus was who he said he was.

It shows he has power over death.

It gives hope that there is life with God after death.
