Q

How do Protons and Neutrons help electric current?

A

Protons and Neutrons are attracted to each other, because of this they travel from positive to negative

Q

What do we measure current with?

A

An ammeter

This must be connected in series and should read the same at all points

16
Q

What is resistance?

A

How easy or difficult it is for the current to flow through the circuit

17
Q

What two ways can circuits be made?

A

In series or in parallel

18
Q

If a circuit is in series what does this mean?

A

There is one path for the current to travel. If a component breaks then the circuit breaks and electricity stops flowing

19
Q

If a circuit is in parallel what does this mean?

A

The circuit has several paths, if a component breaks it will not break the entire circuit so electricity will continue to flow

20
Q

What is the purpose of a fuse?

A

A fuse overheats when there is too much current it does this to break the circuit and stop the flow of electricity

21
Q

How is voltage measured?

A

Using a voltmeter

A voltmeter is connected in parallel to the circuit
