An African American that was a slave that sued for his freedom but the Supreme Court ruled that African Americans was not citizens and had no legal standing to sue
How did the Civil war impact the relationship between the Union and Confederates? (North and South)
The two sides (union and confederates) after the civil war has impacted their relationship by finding a common ground and unionizing the two sides. Although they still had their differences, the managed to find a common ground ti where they would work together in harmony. ex. Missouri compromise
What were the 3 Amendments that was added to the constitution?
13th - Abolished Slavery
14th - Granted Citizenship to all persons born in the US
15th - Granted African Americans to vote

What was the Reconstructing Act
The first act from congress to rebuild the south and enforce the civil rights into the south.
What was the Underground Railroad?
A pathway and/or safe houses that lead enslaved people to the north or free states during the civil rights movement.
What changes and/or improvements was made during the Reconstructing Era?
- US created better laws to create a more structured government
- The north invested their money into rebuilding the south such as rebuilding and expanding railroads to increase transportation.
- The public rebuild infrastructures that are highly populated with people of color or African Americans.
