- What is a Forty-niner?
Those who flocked to California in 1849 in search of good, which had been discovered there in 1848.

A general name for male American patriots during the Revolutionary War, especially the signers of the Declaration Of Independence and those who drafted the Constitution.

John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and George Washington.

A patriot, diplomat, author, printer, scientist, and inventor of the late 18th century; one of the Founding Fathers of the United
States.

During the 17th century most of the white laborers in Maryland and Virginia came from England as indentured servants.

The first permanent English settlement in North America, founded in 1607 in Virginia.

A journey made by Meriwether Louis and William Clark, during the presidency of Thomas Jefferson, to explore the American Northeast, newly purchased from France and some territories beyond.

Started in St.Louis, Missouri and moved and moved up the Missouri River and down the Columbia River to the Pacific Ocean.

The first battle of the Revolutionary War, fought in Massachusetts on April 19th, 1775.
