what is amplexus?
male goes on back of female and as the female lay eggs in water he releases sperm
which amphibians can lay eggs on land in caves?
salamanders
how do salamanders move?
limbs are attached on sides so their body bends into an āsā shape when they move
what is pedomorphosis?
condition where organisms retain aquatic existence (axolotl)
difference b/w frog and toad bodies
frog: skinnier, smooth skin
toad: fat, bumpy skin
how do some frogs deter predators?
secrete poisonous mucus out of granular glands
how do frogs mate?
air sacs allow them to call for mates and induces a physical readiness in females
