Meanings of “pasar”
1. To happen, occur, or take place:

Pasó un accidente en la carretera. (An accident happened on the highway.)
¿Qué pasó ayer? (What happened yesterday?)
No pasa nada. (Nothing’s wrong.)
2. To pass by, go through, or move across:

El autobús pasa por mi casa. (The bus goes by my house.)
Pasé por el supermercado. (I stopped by the supermarket.)
Cruzó la calle con cuidado. (He crossed the street carefully.)
3. To spend (time):

Pasé el fin de semana en la playa. (I spent the weekend at the beach.)
¿Cuánto tiempo pasaste estudiando? (How much time did you spend studying?)
He pasado muchos años viviendo en el extranjero. (I’ve spent many years living abroad.)
4. To hand something to someone:

Pásame la sal, por favor. (Pass me the salt, please.)
