Competition
The fight for resources between organisms

The movement of organisms into an area
Emigration
The movement of organisms out of an area

The number of different species and number of individuals of those species living in an area

A square used for estimating plant population

A method used for studying changes in plant communities over distance
Native species
Species that live naturally in an area
Alien species
Species that have been introduced into an area where they do not naturally occur

Species that have been introduced into an area and become pests
