How would you approach building a relationship with a hesitant stakeholder and gaining their support?
A
- Take time to understand their concerns
- Find common ground + remind how the overall goal will benefit them
- Consider possible amendments that could strengthen the policy
- Ex: E-Bike Incentive (Retailers, in person rebates + new solution)

How would you approach designing an EJ policy?
A
- LISTEN from the county’s most disproportionately affected communities, what are the pain points, what resources do they need, what do they want to see changed
- LEARN how these communities are getting impacted by climate change
- DESIGN a policy that prioritizes the needs of these community members
- FEEDBACK - Bring the policy back to the EJ communities for feedback
- SOCIALIZE this policy with a wide range of stakeholders to get support
- METRICS - Define clear metrics for success (reduced pollution, increased access, improved health)
- MONITOR - Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed

A
- Write up a one page policy brief that summaries the policy, the benefits, the potential cons and a recommended path forward
- Ex: WV e-bike trail bill

A
- EX: CA e-bike incentive program and types of e-bike allowed
