Sensation and reflexes normal
Limbs almost never involved in isolation

Early peak: 20 to 40 in females
Late peak: 50 to 89 in both sexes

Clinical course
A
Maximal disease severity 1 to 2 years
Then tends to improve, spontaneous remission in 30%
