A

Olfactory - sensory (smell)
-pt closes eyes and plugs one nostril
-place smell under pt’s nose and ask “can you smell that?” If yes, “can you ID the scent?”

CN 2: name? S/M? Tests?

A

Optic - sensory (vision)
Visual acuity: cover one eye and have pt read smallest line on Snellen chart

Visual fields: cover one eye and PT moves fingers. Pt lets you know when they see it and how many fingers

Pupillary response: shine light and see if pupil constricts or dilates

A

Ipsilateral CN 3; direct response
