A

Swanage, Beach nourishment: Adds 90,000m^3 of sand costing £2.1million, acts as a natural barrier. Sea walls: Adds a 1.8km wall that deflects the force of the waves. Groynes: Stop longshore drift so beaches can build up. Rock armour: Placed in 1980s, protect coast.
