Q

What are the weaknesses of CBT?

A

It may not work for the most severe cases as patients aren’t motivated
Success may be up to the therapist-parent relationship
Some patients want to explore and talk about their past but it focuses on the present
There is overemphasis on cognition and so may ignore the importance of living circumstances
