Cognitive Schemas
A cluster of knowledge or memory that is stored in the mind (organised packets of information about the world, events, or people stored in long-term memory)
Confirmation Bias
A particular type of bias in thinking and decision making. When a person tends to focus on and remember information that is consistent with their existing beliefs
Cognitive Bias
A systematic error that negatively affects the accuracy of one or more cognitive processes
Rational (controlled) Thinking
Thinking that is slow, deliberate, conscious, and based on consequences
Intuitive (automatic) Thinking
Thinking that is fast, automatic, unconscious and based on experiences and emotions
Working Memory
The small amount of information that can be held in the mind and used in the execution of cognitive tasks
