F- cog issues come from a disconnection in the frontal cortex of the brain (decision making and the temporal lobe (perception) shown through changes in blood flow in the brain.

cog theories focus on explaining the problem but dont cover any other symptoms eg movement. it also explains the immediate causes of the symptoms but not the root causes of the symptoms

H+M- ‘integrated model combines genetic+ early life factors with life stressors to trigger he dopa system.
hallucinations and delusions lead to more stress which increases dopa levels which worsens the symptoms
