Aim- to see if stereotypes can affect memory

Method- participants show a vid of a man and woman eating in a restaurant.half participants told that the woman was a waitress other half told she was a librarian, later asked to describe the woman’s personality and behaviour

Results- the two groups of participants gave entirely different descriptions which matched stereotypes

Conclusion- stereotypes affect the accuracy of account of people
