What is perception?
Perception enables us to navigate through the world around us, making decision for actions.
Development of perception
This mostly happens i the early years of life and at a rapid pace, this happens through the infanta direct sensory experience and its biological programming.
At 4 months old the baby perceptual abilities would rapidly increase, from interacting with the environment y around them which this would represent he ability to diferénciate distances an ability to learn through feedback.
Voices installed and language still installing
Babies would have a built in recognition towards their mothers voice, but te babies cannot distinguish between different sounds of wat she is saying.
Visual perception
This is when it would mean the brains ability to make sense of wha the eyes see,
Acuity
The sharpness of vision , measured by the ability to discern letters and numbers at a given distance according. A fixed standard
Binocular vision
This is when Theo eyes would create a single a 3D image containing information from both visual fields, newborn babis would struggle to do this from the inner underdeveloped eye muscles.
Colour
In th first weeks of life babies don’t se much colour and would only start to see shades of red, orange, yellow and green after one week of being born.
