Color Combos: 3 Colors Flashcards

The “Shards” are made up of 3 allied colors: a color and its 2 adjacent colors that sit on either side of it on MTG’s color wheel, so they're sometimes also called “arcs”. The “Wedges” are comprised of 3 enemy colors. The 3-color Shards are named after the shards of the fragmented world Alara, introduced in the 2008 block, while the Wedges are named for the 5 opposed clans of Tarkir, as first seen in 2014’s Khans of Tarkir block.
