What is detection for NATO?
SPQ-9B/air search radars detect the contact and establish position. Sent to SSDS.
What is direction for NATO?
SSDS relays target info to NATO and the weapons system positions directors to “paint” target.
What is delivery for NATO?
Proper firing voltages are set, ESSM’s are fired to intercept painted target.
What is destruction for NATO?
The missile(s) intercept the target and either impact(skin to skin) or destroy by a focused blast.
What is detection for RAM?
SPQ-9B/air search radars detect the contact and establish position. Sent to SSDS.
What is direction for RAM?
SSDS relays target info to RAM, and the weapons system positions launchers for correct bearing and elevation.
What is delivery for RAM?
Proper firing voltages are set, RAMS are fired in a salvo size ranging from 1 to 3 to intercept target.
What is destruction for RAM?
The missile(s) intercept the target and either impact(skin to skin) or destroy by a focused blast.
