Command,/Movement Phase Flashcards
What happens at the start of the Command phase?
Both players gain 1 Command point (CP)
Other Command phase rules may also be resolved at this time.
What is the definition of Starting Strength?
The number of models a unit contains when it is added to your army
This is the initial count of models before any casualties.
What does Below Half-strength mean?
A unit is Below Half-strength if its remaining number of wounds is less than half of its Wounds characteristic
For a unit with a Starting Strength of 1, this applies when its remaining wounds are less than 0.5.
How is the Starting Strength of an Attached unit calculated?
It is equal to the combined Starting Strengths of all of its units
This includes the Leader unit and the Bodyguard unit.
What occurs when a unit is Battle-shocked?
It has an OC of 0 and cannot use Stratagems
Battle-shocked units must take Desperate Escape tests if they Fall Back.
What types of moves can a unit make during the Movement phase?
Normal move, Advance, or Remain Stationary
The type of move depends on whether the unit is within Engagement Range of enemy models.
What is the maximum distance a model can move in a Normal Move?
Up to M inches
Models cannot move within Engagement Range of any enemy models.
What happens during an Advance Move?
Models move up to M+D6 inches and cannot shoot or charge this turn
Models also cannot move within Engagement Range of enemy models.
What is required for a unit to Fall Back?
Models move up to M inches and cannot shoot or charge in the same turn
Desperate Escape tests are required for models moving over enemy models.
What is a Desperate Escape Test?
Roll one D6; on a 1-2, one model from that unit is destroyed
This applies when moving over enemy models during a Fall Back.
What is the movement limitation for models over terrain features?
Models can move freely over terrain features 2 inches or less in height
Models cannot move through features taller than 2 inches.
What is the definition of a Reserves Unit?
A unit that starts the battle in a location other than the battlefield
It counts as having made a Normal move when set up on the battlefield.
What occurs if a Transport is destroyed?
Any embarked units must disembark
Each model that disembarks must roll a D6 for potential mortal wounds.
What is the requirement for a unit to embark within a friendly Transport?
All of its models must end a Normal, Advance, or Fall Back move within 3 inches of that Transport
A unit cannot embark and disembark in the same phase.
What happens if a unit disembarks after its Transport moves?
It cannot move or charge that turn but can act normally otherwise
Disembarking units must be set up wholly within 3 inches of their Transport.
What is an Emergency Disembarkation?
A unit must be set up wholly within 6 inches of a destroyed Transport instead of 3 inches
Models suffer 1 mortal wound for each roll of 1-3 during this process.
True or False: Models that start or end a move on a terrain feature measure distance moved through the air.

This applies to Fly models making any type of move.
