Antiplatelet drugs prevent blood cells (platelets) from sticking together, reducing clot formation.
37
What is the MOA of a calcium channel blocker?
Calcium is essential for muscle contraction, including the heart and blood vessels. By blocking calcium entry: Blood vessels relax → lowering blood pressure. Heart rate and contractility may decrease → reducing cardiac workload.
38
What is the MOA of Angiotensin ll receptor blockers ?
ARBs block the AT1 receptor, preventing these effects → vasodilation, reduced fluid retention, and lowered blood pressure.
39
What is the MOA of an anticoagulant blood thinner?
Anticoagulants are medications that prevent new clots from forming or stop existing clots from growing by interfering with the body’s natural clotting process.
40
‘olol’ medications
