Why should ACE inhibitors be stopped in pregnancy and what should they be replaced with?

A

Teratogenic; labetalol

A

Increased risk of endometrial carcinoma
Hot flushes
Increased risk of VTE
Promotes the anticoagulant effect of warfarin

A

In the morning (if on single dose regimen). Taking in evening increases risk of nocturnal hypoglycaemia
