looking, staring and blinking are important nonverbal behaviors
Eye gaze
also known as touch; used to communicate affection, familiarity, sympathy and other emotions.
Haptics
also alter physiological reactions, judgements and interpretations
Appearance
objects and images are also tools that can be used to communicate nonverbally such as selecting your avatar online to represent your identity.
Artifacts
a communication that makes use of multiple modes
Multimodal Communication
primarily uses sounds or any form of transmission that is based on hearing to communicate
Audio communication
core content of the communication, consisting of emotions, information, and ideas.
Message
uses aids such as pictures, drawings, illustrations and graphic organizers
