What are some verbal techniques?

A

Establish rapport (greet, comfort, ICE)

Open questions (could you tell me more about that)

Closed questions

Paraphrasing (so you have pain in your right hand)

Summarising (so you have pain… and are worried because….)

Reflected feelings and meaning (echo, you didn’t get in which seems like failure to you)

Transitional statements (you’ve told me about your past, now can you tell me about)
