What is Communication?
Transmission or exchange of information, knowledge, or ideas, by means of speech, writing, mechanical or electronic media
What is the basic model of communication?
The transmission model
Sender - message channel - receiver
What is the interaction model?
Sender/receiver - message channel - sender/receiver
Feedback channel to and from both sender/receivers
What is the transactional model?

A framework which helps healthcare professionals use information in a legal and ethical way
Ensures data is safe, secure, available, up to date and accurate
Also helps patients understand what, how and why their data is being used, in a clear and transparent way
