What are the 10 components of fitness?
- Muscular endurance
- Speed
- Flexibility
- Cardiovascular endurance
- Agility
- Balance
- Coordination
- Power
- Reaction time
- Strength
How can you test your cardiovascular endurance? (2)
- multi stage fitness test
- 12 minute cooper run
How can you test your agility and what are the distances between cones?
- Illinois agility test
- 10m between the first two cones
- 3.3m between the middle cones
How can you test your balance?
- standing stork test
How can you test your muscular endurance?
- Sit up test
- Press up test
How can you test your speed and how far is it between each cone? Why is this?
- 30m sprint test
- 10m between the first and second
- 30m from the second to last
This is so that we are testing speed and not reaction
How can you test flexibility?
- sit and reach test
How can you test Reaction time?
- rule drop test
How can you test power? How are these tests carried out?
- Vertical jump test
Two feet flat on the floor reach up as high as you can and make a mark. Then you jump as high as you can and make a second mark. Finally you take away the jump result from the original. - Standing broad jump
Two footed jump as far as you can and you must mark the closest point to the start as your score.
How do you test Coordination? What are the measurements?
- Wall throw test
You must stand 2m from the wall
How do you test strength?
Grip strength dynamometer
