A

When zeus grew up, he waged war against his father. Zeus was victorious and made Cronos restore life to the children he had swallowed. He divided Cronos’ kingdom among them, so they became gods and goddesses of the world. He made himself king then.

A

Hades abducted Persephone, and Zeus took pity on her and allowed her to return to earth for different parts of the year. IN spring and summer, she was on earth, and during that time the flowers bloomed and Demeter, with the help of the nymphs, made crops grow in the summer. In fall and winter, she was gone below the earth with Hades, and the flowers and crops went away.

Men sprang up from the teeth of the dragon that Cadmus had slain. Cadmus threw a stone, and they all began to fight. After there were only five left, Cadmus commanded them to stop, and instead had them build the city of Thebes.
