A

TRIPLE ASSESSMENT:

  1. Clinical examination
  2. Imaging: Mammogram/ US- dense breast, oval or round, circumscribed lump, may have coarse calcifications
  3. Biopsy

how would you manage a patient with fibroadenomas?

A
  1. Reassure pt that it’s not cancer
  2. Analgesia- paracteamol, ibuprofen
  3. Could prescibe tamoxifen = SERM
  4. If symptomatic/ growing:
    • cyst aspiration
    • surgical removal
