Q

reduction putty

A

1) falls over the bicuspids and has to cover the incisal edge
2) do not cover the lingual
3) draw line 2 mm from incisal edge
- cut incisal edge from cuspid to cuspid
4) draw lines 3 mm from cut
- cut little mouths on the putty
- only cut open one side of the putty

Q

prep process

A

1) depth cutting bur
- 0.3 mm
2) follow curve and contour
3) mark depth cuts with pencil
4) incisal reduction 1.5 - 2 mm
5 )join depth cuts
6 )conservative margin made with 012
- just above the gingival margin 0.5 mm
- feather margin
7) keep checking reduction with the putty
- you should have less towards the gingival
- 0.3mm - 0.7mm (incisal)

Q

veener provisional

A

1) spot bond technique
2) place a small dot of etch on the mid facial, rinse, place a small amount of bonding agent on the same area, bond teeth with flowable or build up with composite (single unit)
- must be very PRECISE!!
3) shrink wrap technique
- smile design putty. place integrity into putty and place on teeth, allow integrity to set on teeth
- trim carefully
- mechanically retentive
