What should terms and notices be?
Terms and notices must be clear and understandable, fair and do not take away from the consumers rights.
When selling goods to consumers what must they be?
Yours to sell, of satisfactory quality, fit for any purpose that has been made to the consumer, as described and match any sample or model the consumer has seen.
When is a Short term right reject applicable?
A full refund within the first 30 days
When is a repair or replacement applicable?
After 30 days from purchase
When is a price reduction or final right to reject applicable?
Available after 1 attempt to repair or replace
When selling digital content to consumers what must they be?
Yours to sell, of satisfactory quality, fit for any purpose that has been made to the consumer and as described. You may also be responsible for any damage that the content has caused to the consumer’s hardware.
What happens if a consumer complains about digital content?
There is an opportunity for the seller to provide replacement content. After that a cash reduction.
When you supply a service and it goes wrong what should happen?
There is a right to repeat the service and after that a price reduction if the problem was not fixable.
How should services be carried out?
With reasonable care and skill, take reasonable time to complete the work (if no timescale is confirmed with the consumer), charge reasonable price and are bound by anything you say or write to the consumer.
