Controls And Indicators Flashcards
(14 cards)
BASEBAND UNIT (BBU)
A6, A7, A19, and A32 (Figure 1.) provide the interface to A18 and A31. The Power Supply Subsystem uses main AC power and provides filtered DC power for the RFU and the BBU.
RADIO FREQUENCY UNIT (RFU
A18 and A31 (Figure 1) receive and transmit radio signals through A133/A134. The receiver processes the signal and sends the data to the Baseband Unit.
POWER SUPPLY
A25 (Figure 1) provides +28 VDC power and overload protection for (KE) A29, A41, A8/, A88, A91, A93, (MM) A95 interlock circuits, A167, and DLT equipment.
ELECTRICAL FILTER (GCFU)
A43 (Figure 1) is the voice filter for the ground communications system. Electrical Unit A43 controls and indicators are shown below in Table 1.
ROUTING LOGIC RADIO INTERFACE UNIT (RLRU)
The A46 RLRIU (Figure 1) is the primary communications interface for PATRIOT, performing message packing routing, error checking, and synchronization for all traffic within a PATRIOT Battalion (Bn) and between the Bn and extra-Bn units
COMPARTMENT CONTROL MODULE
A48 (Figure 1) is a component of the modular collective protection equipment (MCPE). The compartment control module monitors and controls A108 and shelter pressure.
LIGHT PANEL
A49 and A85 (Figure 1) have controls to vary the brightness of swivel lamps. Swivel lamps on the assemblies are used to direct light on desired locations.
BITE/BOOT PANEL
The BITE/Boot Panel (BBP) A51 (Figure 1), is the collection point for BITE (Built-In Test Equipment) information, and control and status signals.
FP STATUS INDICATOR PANEL
A54 and A73 (Figure 1) display information required by the operator which includes TIME OF DAY (TOD), state of combat readiness, attack warnings, weapon control status, FP status, local LS status (remote launcher status is not displayed), hot missile count, and communication status.
HARD COPY UNIT
A65 (Figure 1) consists of five sections.
DISTRIBUTION BOX
A66 contains circuit breakers that supply AC power directly or indirectly to all ECS assemblies.
AIR CONDITIONER CONTROL PANEL
A69 and A70 (Figure 1) have controls to vary shelter air temperature.
VHF RADIO
A87 encrypts outgoing signals received from the handset and sends them to A115 via A88 or A117.
TACTICAL STORAGE SYSTEM
A95A6 (Figure 1) provides a Tactical Storage System (TSS) for the protected storage of programs and data and is used for loading them into A95 main memory.
