MEMORY ITEMS - EMERGENCY DESCENT
- PF: Advise the cabin crew, on the PA system.
- PM: Advise ATC and obtain the area QNH.
Passenger signs …. ON - Without delay, descend to 10,000 ft or MSA if higher.
- ENGINE START switches ….. CONT
- Thrust levers (both) ….. Reduce thrust to minimum or as needed for anti-ice
- Speedbrake ….. FLIGHT DETENT
- Set target speed to Mmo/Vmo.
- If structural integrity in doubt, limit speed and avoid high maneuvering loads.

MEMORY ITEMS - RUNAWAY STABILISER
Control Column … Hold Firmly
Autopilot … Disengage
Autothrottle … Disengage
Control Column & Thurst .. Control Pitch & Attitude
Main electric trim … use to reduce forces
— If runways stops after the A/P do not disengage autopilot.
— If runaway continues ->

Continue with ENGINE FIRE / ENGINE SEVERE DAMAGE / SEPERATION CHECKLIST
MEMORY ITEMS - ENGINE LIMIT, SURGE OR STALL
Autothrottle if engaged …. Disengage
Thrust lever Eng # … Confirm … Retard until engine indications stay within limits or thrust lever is closed.
WINDSHEAR ESCAPE MANOUEVRE
MANUAL FLIGHT:
Disengage the A/P
Push TO/GA switch
Aggressively apply maximum thrust
Disengage the autothrottle
Wings level and pitch up for 15° simultaneously
Retract speedbrakes
Follow flight director TO/GA guidance
AUTOMATIC FLIGHT:
Push TO/GA switch
Verify TO/GA FMA
Verify GA thrust
Retract speedbrakes
• Do not change flap or gear configuration until clear.
• Monitor vertical speed and altitude.
• Do not attempt to regain lost airspeed until until clear.
GPWS RESPONSE
• Disengage the A/P and A/T.
• Aggressively apply maximum thrust.
• Simultaneously roll wings level and rotate to an initial pitch of 20°.
• Retract speedbrakes.
• If terrain remains a threat, continue up to PLI / SS / initial buffet.
• Do not change gear or flap config until terrain separation assured.
• Monitor RA for sustained or increasing terrain separation.
• When clear of terrain, slowly decrease pitch and accelerate.
STALL RECOVERY
Initiate the recovery:
• Hold the control column firmly.
• Disengage the A/P and A/T.
• Smoothly apply nose down elevator until buffet or SS stops.
• Nose down stabilizer trim may be needed.
Continue:
• Roll in the shortest direction to wings level if needed.
• Advance thrust levers as needed.
• Retract the speedbrakes.
• Do not change gear or flap configuration, except
• During liftoff, if flaps are up, call for F1.
Complete:
• Check airspeed and adjust thrust as needed.
• Establish pitch attitude.
• Return to the desired flight path.
• Re-engage the A/P and A/T if desired.
