A
Weigh out the mass of copper sulphate accurately & dissolve in water
in fume cupboard add conc ammonia and pour into ethanol. cool mixture in ice bath
filter crystals via vacuum filtration record mass and calculate % yield

How do you use lab equipment to filter under reduced pressure?
A
Use Buchner funnel + Buchner flask connected by rubber tubing to vacuum. pour substance onto filter paper and liquid sucked through vacuum filtration into flask. Wash solid with cold solvent. solid remains on paper

How do we prevent solid being lost in vacuum filtration?
A
wash transferring flask with solvent (ethanol) and pour onto the filter paper
