what are some types of conditions for court bail
require the defendant to be at a police station at a certain time, require them to surrender their passport, place movement restrictions, put a curfew on them, impose any conditions of Police bail, etc
what happens when someone breaches court bail
under section 35(1) of the Bail Act 2000, a constable may arrest without warrant a defendant if the police believe on reasonable grounds that the defendant has absconded or about to abscond, or the defendant has failed to comply with bail conditions
what are the consequences of breaching court bail
the defendant is located following a breach, arrested, held in custody, then taken to court ASAP
what happens if a defendant fails to appear in court
a warrant is sent out for their arrest, then they are held in custody after being arrested and then taken to court ASAP
