ABC stands for
Airway, Breathing and Circulation

Sign and symptoms, Allergies, Medications, Past medical history, last meal, events
Shock
happens when the vital organs do not get enough oxygen-rich blood
Choking Symptoms….
Inability to speak, cough or breath, change of face color, look of panic, both hands clutching the throat
Respiratory Arrest…
A person who stops breathing
Angina
Chest pain or pressure that comes and goes
Heart Attack
It is a cardiovascular disease. It happens when the heart can not get enough oxygen because of a blockage in one of the arteries feeding the heart muscle
Causes of heart attack
Stress, smoking, poor diet, obesity, high blood pressure, lack of regular exercise, gender, age
Symptoms of heart attack
Squeezing chest pain, problems breathing, abdominal or back pain, nausea and vomiting, denial, blush skin
Stroke
A stroke happens when the blood flow gets interrupted.

a clot in an artery in the brain, an artery in the brain that ruptures, a tumor.
Stroke symptoms “FAST”

Deadly Bleeding
It’s severe bleeding that leads to large amounts of blood loss, either outside or within the body. Deadly bleeding must be controlled immediately or it can become life-threatening
External deadly bleeding Symptoms
Large amounts of bleeding and signs of shock
Internal deadly bleeding
Bruising in the injured area, soft tissues, shock pain, anxiety, nausea, and vomiting.
Internal deadly bleeding
it is more difficult to recognize than external bleeding.
Internal deadly bleeding symptoms
Bruising in the injured area, soft tissues, thirsty, shock pain, anxiety, nausea, and vomiting.

Occurs when the heart stops beating

cardiovascular disease is the common cause of cardiac arrest. other common causes include: drowning, drugs, severe blood loss, electrocution, chest injuries

Automatic External Defibrillator
CPR Adult
Compress 2 inches, 30 compressions, and 2 breaths
CPR child
Compress 2 inches, 30 compressions, and 2 breaths
