Sensation from the posterior 1/3rd of the tongue (& taste too), external ear and middle ear cavity, as well as the carotid body & sinus. Control of the Parotid gland and the Stylopharyngeus muscle.

Sensation from, external ear, larynx & pharynx, as well as the larynx, pharynx & abdominal viscera, taste from the epiglottis region of the tongue. Control of the smooth muscles of the pharynx, larynx & most of the GI tract.

Control of the trapezius and sternocleidomastoid, a few fibers run with CN X to the (Abdominal) viscera.

Control of both the extrinsic and intrinsic tongue muscles (Except the palatoglossus).
