What does the olfactory nerve do?
provides sense of scent (special afferent)
What does the optic nerve do?
provides sense of vision, retina (special afferent)
What does the oculomotor nerve do?
raises the eyelid (somatic motor), constriction/dilation (visceral motor)
What does the trochlear nerve do?
keeps eyes level when tilting head (somatic motor)
What does the abducens nerve do?
moves the eyes away from the midline (abduction - eye towards the nose).
What does the trigeminal nerve do?
provides innervation to the face via opthalamic, maxillary and mandibular nerves.
The V1 supraorbital nerve is a branch of what?
opthalmic
The V2 infraorbital nerve is a branch of what?
maxillary
The V3 mandibular nerve is a branch of what?
mental
What does the ophthalmic nerve do?
innervates the scalp, eyes, nose and forehead
