Rome was a city founded a very long time ago. We do know that the Roman culture was influenced by the ancient Greeks. The Romans worshipped the Olympian Gods. 🌷🌷Why do they have this name🌷🌷
They have this name because they were paired with the major gods whom the Greeks believed lived on MOUNT OLYMPUS
Why was Jupiter’s reign as king of the gods not easy
Jupiter was not always king of the gods. Jupiter became king after he killed his father. Saturn. Saturn was the King of the Titans. Titans were Devine beings, an earlier race of God.
What is the story of when Jupiter killed his father ‘Saturn’
There was a prophecy, that one of Saturn’s children would kill him and take his place. To stop that, Saturn swallowed each child as soon as his wife gave birth. When Jupiter was born, the mother hid him and gave Saturn a rock instead. They tricked him into eating poison which made him throw up all the other children. Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto defeated their Dad.

Juno was annoyed when she found out that Jupiter had children with other goddesses so she was able to have one iPod her own. He was ugly but very clever (not like the other gods). He became the god of fire and metalwork.

Minerva was the goddess of war. She was the daughter of Metis. Titan goddess. Was married to Jupiter before he married Juno. Jupiter swallowed Metis up before she could give birth but she gave birth inside his body. Jupiter had terrible headaches. He asked Vulcan to hit him on the head. Minerva then jumped out, fully grown and ready for battle
What happened with Venus and Mars
The sun was the first god to see Venus and mars ‘together.’ He immediately told Venus’s husband Vulcan. Vulcan was shocked and he arranged a trap. When the were together they became trapped and to embarrass them Vulcan invited all the Olympian gods who were very amused.
