Define Culture
a set of beliefs, values, and practices that a group of people have in common

an activity or behavior in which people often take part

What is culture diversity?
the state of having a variety of cultures in the same area
How can cultural diversity be a good and/or a bad thing?
it creates a mix of ideas, behaviors, and practices, but it can lead to conflict
Define cultural diffusion
the process by which cultural traits spread from one place to another
Describe Hierarchical Diffusion
happens through systems, typically from some form of power. Fashion, industry, or social media influencers
Describe Contagious Diffusion
a rapid spread of an idea that goes everywhere and does not go through a system. Viral Videos

as the traits move it adapts to the new area.

Describe the refugee crisis and how the US has been responding to it
There are about 26 million refugees in the world today. Currently we are resettling less than 1% of them to countries around the world. The US has been accepting refugees, but under the Trump administration, the number we are accepting has reduced each year. We have gone from 110,000 to only 15,000.
