What is Counterculture?
A culture that has values, or lifestyles, that oppose mainstream values and attitudes, usually with a view to influence change.
What is Cultural Awareness?
Understanding the differences between yourself and people from other countries or backgrounds, especially differences in attitudes and values.

History, geography & religion.
What is Cultural Intelligence?
The capability to adapt, relate and work effectively across various cultures.

Canada’s population is made up of different cultural groups that exist independently as a separate ‘tiles’ that make up the total picture of the culture of Canada.

The perception that time is linear, sequential.
What is Polychronic?
The perception that time is more flexible in that many things happening simultaneously (non-linear).

Individual comfort levels with personal space and physical contact.
What is a Subculture?
A cultural group within a larger or predominant culture, distinguished from it by factors such as class, ethnic background, religion or lifestyle.
What is Xenophobia?
An intense dislike, or fear, of people from other countries.
