Evaluation - a success story

A

75% commute use public transport on weekdays

25% less congestion in Curitiba

30% lower fuel consumption than other similar sized Brazilian cities

Greater efficiency from well thought out designs

System can be run at a profitable level

  • economically sustainable, don’t have to increase tax
  • no economic subsidy from city council
