- Fought in Eastern Theatre (Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland)
- Was defeated at Gettysburg (turning point of the war)
- Was confederate command throughout the entire war
- Surrendered to Grant at Appomattox Courthouse

- Fought on the Western Theatre, including battles in Tennessee and Mississippi
- Gives the Union its first victories at two battle in Tennessee
- Was made Union commander after Victory at Vicksburg

Group of Texas Rangers who fought with and admired Robert E. Lee. It was named after John Bell Hood
