Wordsworth uses many poetic techniques through poem daffodils. The two that I found most effective were his use of metaphors and similes.

Q

First paragraph of essay.

A

One poetic technique, which stands out to me is Wordsworth use of metaphor of ‘and then my heart with pleasure fills, and dances with the daffodils’. This describes just how happy the poet felt when he thinks about the memory of the daffodils. It also shows just how much he thought about the daffodils and how it lifted his mood when he came across them.

This describes just how many daffodils he saw. He is saying that there is so many of them that there was as many daffodils of stars he was comparing the daffodils to stars in the sky.
