33
Q

Can you service the P-8 on battery power only?

A

Yes, you only have 30 seconds after the fuel panel is open to hook up and begin fueling. If not the fuel valve will close and you have to close the panel to reset the fuel valve. You can only fuel for 15 minutes and still be able to start up the APU.

40
Q

What must you ensure about the hose before refueling?

A

Make sure that there is no tension on the hose. The hose must hang freely from the refuel adapter, with no force on it. Tension on the hose can cause damage to the fuel receptacle and cause the hose to disconnect.

41
Q

Can you start the APU during refueling operations?

A

Yes, as long as it is the initial start or restart after a normal shut down.

42
Q

Can you restart the APU if it fails during refuel operations?

A

No, wait until refueling is complete then try to restart the APU again.

43
Q

Which tank must be full before filling the FWD and AFT aux tanks?

A

Main 1, Main 2, and Center tanks.

44
Q

If the center tank contains more than 1000lbs do you fill main 1 and main 2 fully?

A

Yes..

A

50FT

46
Q

What is the safe distances for equipment during refueling and defueling operations?
