How long is the daily inspection good for?
A. 72 hours commencing from the date and time the inspection was completed.
How long is a turnaround inspection good for?
A. 24 hours commencing from the date and time the inspection was completed.
What would avoid a daily/turnaround inspection within a 72 hour period?
A. Maintenance, other than servicing; maintenance control shall determine if a complete daily or turnaround inspection or portion thereof is required.
If the ambient temperature on the ground it’s 20°F or lower, and the fluid level in the hydraulic reservoir is below refill, what is the reservoir service to and why?
A. Service the reservoir just to about RFL indication. This will prevent the reservoir from being too full at a warmer location.
A turn around/post flight inspection is conducted between flights to ensure what?
A. The integrity of the aircraft for flight, verify proper servicing, and to detect degration that may have occurred during the previous flight.
Within what timeframe should you service engine oil’s?
A. within 5 to 30 minutes after engines have shut down
If oil is not serviced before 30 minutes what must happen?
A. A work order or a MAF must be issued to operate engines and perform oil servicing.
What does it mean if your drains from the press to test button?
A. There is a fuel leak between the inner and outer wall of one or more tanks.
If the sonobuoy switch on the WBD ground maintenance panel is not set to off, what could happen?
A. It is possible for a sonobuoy to be launched.
What fault code can you clear on the WBD without issuing a MAF?
A. 32, 54, and 44
If the sonobouy launching system is not depressurized during 48 hour window, what may occur?
A. The sonobouy rotary launcher launch tank burst disk may rupture doe to an increase in pressure.
Without the downlock pins installed on the ground, what may happen?
A. The landing gear could retract and cause injuries to persons and damage to the equipment.
The tires should be checked how long after the planes land? Can tires be checked when they are hot?
A. 2 hours.

What is the pressure for the main and nose tires
A. 224 +/- 5 for the main and 208 +/- 5 for the nose.
What is the correct procedure for checking the IDG oil level?
A. Open the fan cowling ensuring the leading edge flaps are deactivated in the retracted position.
B. Make sure the engines have been shut down for a minimum of 5 minutes.
C. Make sure no click is felt when pulling the IDG Disconnect Reset and ensure the ring returns to the max inward position.
D. Push the PUSH-TO-VENT valve for a minimum of 15 seconds. Oil level should be above the low oil level line.
How many times may you reset the Differential Pressure Indicator (DPI) before the UDG has to be replaced?
A. Once.
How do you check the brake indicators of wear?
A. Ensure brakes are set and verify indicator pins are extended pass the guides. If pins are level or below the face of the guide, brakes must be replaced.
How many proximity sensors are there in the weapons bay door area?
A. 8
What do you check the tires for?
A. Inspection for contamination, cuts, wear, and bulges and refer to AMM task for tire inspection.
What is the limit for the pad bolt head and the outside pad edge before the pad mush be changed?
A. 0.06 inches or less
What should you look for on the wing bomb rack units that is not currently updated in the AMM chapter 5, and where can the information be found?
A. It is recommended to inspect the BRU Swaybrace Springs for cracks and damage during the scheduled BRU inspection tasks. BRU swaybrace leaf spring failure guidance and disposition in maintenance control P-8A deviation binder.
When performing a Daily/Turnaround inspection, a squadron plane captain noticed a particular part of the engine fan was sticking up from its normal position. Which portion of the engine was this? The plain captain simply pushed this part back down, and did not tell anyone. Would you consider his/her actions acceptable behavior? What could have happened because of the action that this plain captain took?
A. The platform
B. No, use integrity and immediately inform the FLC or maintenance control. Always have a questioning attitude.
C. The platform was not seated correctly, and it could become dislodged or cause catastrophic engine failure.
Recently, there have been documented issues with the in-flight recording system which are induced by placing what switch to the “off” position? What position should we leave the switch in?
A. The Cockpit Voice Recorder Auto/Off position switch.
