Why is it important to plan before collecting data?
Answer: To make sure the data collected is relevant
What is primary data? Give an example.
Answer: Primary data is collected first-hand by the investigator. Example: Surveying students in your class.
What is secondary data? Give an example.
Answer: Secondary data is data collected by someone else. Example: Information from a website or book.
Name two ways to collect primary data.
Answer: Questionnaires Observations or surveys
What type of graph would you use to show how many students chose different colours as their favourite?
Answer: Bar chart
Why is it important to represent data clearly?
To help identify patterns and trends
