  1. The wreath is an important symbol that advent is close and it is time to wait for Jesus’
    birth. The wreath is a circle to represent trinity. Which means, no beginning and no end.
  2. Advent is the church’s New Year’s Day.
  3. The word advent comes from the Latin word adventus, which means arrival or coming.
  4. Priests usually were purple or royal blue during advent. Catholic priests were purple on
    the first, second and fourth week. Then, on during the third week they wear rose.
  5. There are three purple candles and one rose candle. But, there is an optional white
    candle for Christmas Day
