- He then participated in sin
- Tried to cover up his sin by persuading Uriah to come back
- David restorted to murder
- lived with unconfessed sin for months until Nathan approached him
- David’s sins forgiven, but there is consequences

- Lord will raise up evil from his own house
- give his wives to his neighbour
- Done in front of all Israel
- House will be characterized by rebellion/sin
- Ammon’s incest desire, absalom kills ammon and flees
- David brings him back only to have Absalom attempt to steal the kingdom from him
- battle rose, david won, but the people resented him for it
- Kingdom split into israel and judah
- lost their confidence

- God’s grace is sufficient to cover the sins of all who call on him
