What does a white cross near the windsock mean?
Aerodrome completely unserviceable or area marked by crosses unsuitable for use by aircraft

What is a knot?
The knot is a unit of speed equal to one nautical mile per hour, exactly 1.852 km/h

METAR is an hourly surface weather observation. TAF is scheduled, 4 times a day.

It is a 3 degrees per second turn, 180 degrees in one minute
If you had a radio failure in the circuit at Archerfield what would you do?
Maintain clearance and communicate blind. Take note of tower lighting to assess landing opportunity. If no light, complete another circuit and then assess landing opportunity.

Any time you suspect carb icing or conditions suggest this may occur.
