Define Abrosexual
sexual attraction is fluid. sexual orientation doesn’t always fit into fixed categories.
Define Ace
An umbrella term for any identity on the asexual spectrum. Ace is shorthand for asexual.
Define asexual
A sexual is an umbrella term for someone who experiences little or no sexual attraction.
Define agender/genderless
Someone who is without gender, gender neutral and or rejects the concept of gender for themselves
Ally
Someone who does not identify as LGBTQIA+ but actively supports the community
Define Androgynous
Characteristics and qualities traditionally associated with both masculinity and femininity. This term can describe physical appearance, fashion choices, or behavioral traits that do not fit neatly into the conventional male or female distinctions.
Define Appropriation
Borrowing or adopting something as one’s own when it did not originate from them or their culture. This use occurs without proper understanding, credit, and/or permission.
Define Aromantic
An umbrella term, or stand alone identifier, for someone who experiences little or no romantic attraction.
Define Autosexual/romantic
Being able to elicit a sexual/romantic attraction from yourself by yourself and/or not desiring to partake in sexual activity with others but still enjoying being sexually intimate with yourself
Binary
Refers to the classification of gender into two distinct, opposite forms of masculine and feminine, often based on a persons sex assigned at birth.
Bisexual/romantic
Being attracted to two or more genders
Cisgender
A person whose gender identity is the same as their sex and/or gender assigned at birth
Deadnaming
Refers to using the former name of a transgender or non-binary person who has chosen a new name as part of their gender transition.
Demisexual/romantic
A person who only experiences attraction to people with whom they have formed a strong emotional bond

Gay
This label can refer specifically to men who are attracted to men who are attracted to men, it can refer to people who are primarily attracted to the same or similar gender as their own, or it can be an umbrella term for anyone who is not straight.
✅ Gender
Gender refers to the social, behavioral, and cultural attributes, expectations, and norms associated with being male, female, or non-binary. Unlike sex, which is based on physical and biological traits, gender is primarily concerned with personal, societal and cultural perceptions of identity.
✅ Gender identity
Gender identity is the personal sense of one’s own gender. Gender identify can correlate with a persons assigned sex at birth or can differ from it. Children develop gender identity (a deep sense of being male or female) early. They express clear gender choices for clothes, toys and personal items. Gender identity begins to be identified at about ages 2 to 4 years old.
✅ Gender expression
External appearance of one’s gender identity, usually expressed through behavior, clothing, haircut, or voice and which may or may not conform to socially defined behaviors and characteristics typically associated with being either masculine or feminine.
✅ Gender dysphoria
Distress or unhappiness experienced because one’s gender does not match the sex and/or gender assigned at birth
✅ Gender euphoria
Extreme happiness, or comfortability, experienced because a person’s gender is being affirmed.
