A

Gender identity is the personal sense of one’s own gender. Gender identify can correlate with a persons assigned sex at birth or can differ from it. Children develop gender identity (a deep sense of being male or female) early. They express clear gender choices for clothes, toys and personal items. Gender identity begins to be identified at about ages 2 to 4 years old.
